Sam Hensley: Music

This song, like "Jesus my friend," was written for the 2003 Junior Young People's Conference at Kanuga. The first full day of the conference, we started on our journey of the stations of the resurrection, and I wrote this song as kind of a theme song. The first time we sang it, I wasn't sure if it was going to go anywhere. But the second time we sang it, you would have thought they had been singing it for years. They soon had motions to go along with it, and they truly owned the song. I've tried it in other venues, but it just doesn't have the same energy. I supposed you just had to be there.
